image (2)The class created a 24-hour clock this morning in math!  When learning about time, students sometimes have difficulty understanding that the day has twenty four hours because there are only 12 numbers displayed on a clock.  To help them understand a.m and p.m  we built a linear clock.  

Having the clock hanging up from our classroom ceiling will help when we begin discussing elapsed time tomorrow. My hope it that this linear clock will help make elapsed time much more concrete for students who may benefit from this visual support.

-The clock is literally so large that I couldn’t capture the entire clock hanging from our ceiling in a photo! (See bottom image)
