www.spellingcity.com – a great way to practice Words of the Week. Look for this as an option in our sight word tic tac toe!
 
Popcorn Sight Words – Listen and find the word the monkeys are looking for.
 
www.starfall.com – practicing those vowel sounds…r-controlled words? Starfall.com is a  good website to reinforce sounds and decoding skills.
 
StoryOnline – Want to hear a story by an actor/actress? Listen and watch these popular stories online hearing fluency and expression. Have the story at home?  Awesome, add to your literacy and following along with your copy.
 
www.poetry4kids.com – love poetry? check out this website to find some funny poems,  create your own and more.

www.coolmath4kids.com – Math games & learning for all different math curriculum
 
www.ictgames.com – A variety of math games based on various math curriculum. Great for first graders who want a fun game to practice. Each game has more than one level that varies in difficulty.
 
Caterpillar Sequence – Put the caterpillar’s body in order counting forwards, backwards,  skip counting and more. A great way for first graders to practice  counting by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s.
 
Stop The Clock 1 – First graders practice time based on the hour, and half hour times.
 
Stop The Clock 2 – First graders practice time based on 15 minute intervals (:15, :30, :45)
 
Stop The Clock – First graders practice all different time on the clock.
 
Spending Spree – Choose an object and then find the correct amount of money to be able  to pay for it!
 
Bank It! – In this game you are asked to put a certain amount of money into your piggy  bank.Check to see if you can add the proper amount of coins.

Presents In the Snow – Practice adding and skip counting, finding Santa’s hidden   presents. Levels can grow in difficulty if you choose!
 
Snowflake Subtraction – Similar to the game above, practicing subtraction though.
 
Christmas Light Math – Help put up Christmas lights on the house by solving addition or                          subtraction problems. The more problems you do correctly the more lights you get to decorate.
