Letter from the Principal

Letter from the Principal

Lily Smith Thumb

Dear Juliette Low Families,

It is such a privilege and honor to be the Principal at Juliette Low Elementary! I began my educational journey as a classroom teacher for 10 years before becoming an assistant principal for eight years. This is my first year as a principal and I am eager to form relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.

At Juliette Low, our mission is to love, serve, and care within our school and community environments. Our partnerships will help our children thrive. We believe in cultivating a belonging culture where our students understand diverse thoughts and ideas so that they will excel in a global society.

Our staff are dedicated and passionate about their work. They are committed to high levels of achievement and growth for our students. Just like our parents and community, they too want our students to know that they are more capable, talented, intelligent, and powerful than they know.

This school year, we will focus on the theme: “Be you. Be unique. Belong.” This will serve as a reminder of our important work in valuing the ability to learn from the gifts of others and creating a strong community of lifelong learners. Our students will grow in cultural understanding, academics, and social emotional. They will gain an understanding of how to think and act in different ways in order to be reflective and self-aware.

We know you will join us on this wonderful journey to instill the best for our children. We can’t thank you enough in advance for your support and knowing that this is where you and your children belong!

Sincerely,

Lily Smith
