Happy first day of October!

In math class students used a roll of Smarties candy to collect data in order to create bar graphs as well as a pictograph graph.  This activity was a favorite of many, and they all did a nice job of NOT eating their data. 🙂  Check out a couple photos below.

In your child’s CCSD59 email account, you will find an email from me that will provide you will your child’s reading lexile level.  There is a website, www.lexile.com, that can be used to find a book’s lexile level.  All you need to do is enter the book’s title.  This is a great way to make sure that the books that are being read are good fit books. Please let me know if you have any questions!
