We began spelling today!  Our spelling words each week will help increase students’ phonemic awareness. This week the focus is on short vowels a and i.  There will be a spelling test on Friday of each week; however, please keep in mind that spelling these words correctly is NOT the only reason we use the words each week.  Phonemic awareness is important in order for students to pronounce more complex words.

-You can find spelling cards in a ziploc bag in your child’s homework folder.
