We have wrapped up our study of the sun, moon, and stars.  Our next unit is social studies based and will focus on movement – more specifically the causes and effects of movement/immigration from a civics perspective.

Over the course of the unit, students will develop an understanding of the civic reasons people moved to the U.S.  Civic reasons include: social, political, religious, government systems and education.  Students will compare and contrast the Mexican Revolution and the Jewish migration.

Our class LOVES their movement breaks!  Their current favorite is a Zumba video called 1, 2, 3 Shake. Take a glimpse!
