Once a week our school’s psychologist, Mrs. VonSchlegell, comes into our classroom to teach a lesson related to social skills.  Today she discussed the differences between passive, assertive, and aggressive behaviors. Assertive behavior is respectful, calm, and firm.  It’s a way to gets your needs met but by being respectful.  We also talked about how it feels when someone behaves aggressively or passively.  The class also practiced using “self talk”.
