Tuesday 9/16Tuesday 9/16
Tomorrow morning our classroom will take the MAP reading assessment. This assessment will be taken in the classroom on the students’ chromebooks. It is important that their chromebook comes to school fully charged!
Elapsed time continues to be the focus in math class. The start time, change of time, and end time are all crucial components in elapsed time problems. We have color-coded these as follows:
start time = green
change of time = blue
end time = red
You will notice that their homework has been color coded as such. This is one tool students may use to help them organize their information. Another tool that some students may find useful is using a number line. Tonight’s homework will encourage the use of the number line and color coding. These methods are only one way to find the answer. We will continue to learn other ways as the week continues.
