This morning we played kickball with Mrs. Herrera’s 3rd grade class! The weather was beautiful (finally not too hot!), and it was a great movement break that everyone seemed to enjoy. Please see an action photo above. 🙂
We are beginning Unit 1 in math this week. Unit 1 will build on what was learned last year in 2nd grade. This includes:
-time (telling time to the nearest minute, elapsed time)
-bar graphs and pictographs (reading graphs, making graphs, answering/asking questions)
-perimeter (measuring perimeter of polygons)
There will more information, including how you can help at home, sent home in your child’s Friday folder.
Reminder: Please take a look at the PBIS “PAWSITIVE” Behavior Calendar each night (found in your child’s homework folder). On this sheet you will see how many PAWS they earned throughout the day for acting responsibly, working and playing safely, and showing respect.
