We have began to focus on standard 3.OA.8 in math class. This standard covers the following:
3.OA.8 Solve two-step word problems using the four operations (+, -, x, ÷.) Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.
During integrated literacy we are continuing to analyze articles and add items to our ‘article findings’ poster. Students are using Scholastic News magazines to look at articles from a writer’s viewpoint. The class will begin drafting their article on Jewish Migration toward the end of this week.
*Due to being in school for only 2 days last week, the same spelling words will be used again this week. The test will be on Friday.
