A Reminder for Parents and Guardians of Returning 3rd and 6th Graders
Are you the parent or guardian of a current CCSD59 student who will be beginning third or sixth grade in the 18-19 school year? If so, please read this important information.
Parents and guardians of all students who will be returning to school in third and sixth grades must prove CCSD59 residency at the student’s school of attendance. For this school year, please visit your child’s school between August 1 and August 10 to prove residency.
Please note that proof of residency at the school is only required for students who are returning in 3rd and 6th grades. Since families of newly registered students are required to provide evidence of residency at the time of the new registration, proof of residency does not need to be shown again for new students in third and sixth grades during the 8/1 – 8/10 requirement at the school.
A list of acceptable documents for proving residency in the district is listed below.
CCSD59 staff will evaluate the documents at the time they are presented, so please note that presenting any of the items listed below does not guarantee admission.
Residency must be proven before students can be assigned or given their classroom schedules, so please be sure to contact your child’s school office or the CCSD59 administration center with any questions.
We greatly appreciate your cooperation and look forward to your partnership in another great school year.
