Letter from the Principal

Letter from the Principal

Lily Smith Thumb

Dear Juliette Low Families,

It is such a privilege and honor to be the Principal at Juliette Low Elementary! I began my educational journey as a classroom teacher for ten years and now have been in administration for ten years. This is my second year as the principal at Juliette Low and I am eager to continue to form relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.

At Juliette Low, our mission is to love, serve, and care within our school and community environments. Our partnerships will help our children thrive. We believe in cultivating a belonging culture where our students understand diverse thoughts and ideas so that they will excel in a global society.

Our staff are dedicated and passionate about their work. They are committed to high levels of achievement and growth for our students. Just like our parents and community, they too want our students to know that they are more capable, talented, intelligent, and powerful than they know.

Each school year we begin with a new theme that sets the course of outlining our focus areas in our culture, curriculum, family engagement, and professional development with our staff. For the 2022-23 school year, we will focus on the theme “We are one!” This will serve as a reminder of how important it is to come together as “one” in creating a strong community of lifelong learners. It also reminds us that together as “one” we can accomplish anything!

We know you will join us on this wonderful journey to instill the best in our children. We can’t thank you enough in advance for your support and we invite you to be “one” with us as we have a great 2022-23 school year up ahead of us!

Sincerely,

Lily Smith
